Miss Renee De Wit
Renee De Wit is a Registered Social Worker (RSW, BSW) who has been supporting individuals, youth, and families since 2017. She holds certifications in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Renee’s therapeutic style is grounded in an anti-oppressive and trauma-informed lens, creating a space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported.
Renee believes that understanding our trauma, past experiences, and current behaviors—and how they connect to our emotions—can be a powerful step toward healing and meaningful change. She works collaboratively with clients to strengthen their coping strategies and offers a warm, nonjudgmental space to explore thoughts, feelings, and life’s challenges.
She has experience working with children, teens, and adults navigating PTSD, trauma, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, substance use, grief, and relationship conflicts.
As Brené Brown beautifully said, “We don’t have to do all of it alone. We were never meant to.” Renee brings this belief into her work, offering clients a compassionate and collaborative journey toward wellness.
If any of these areas resonate with you, we invite you to book a consultation by emailing us at info@dpwellness.ca or scheduling directly through Jane.

Melissa Hickey
(She/Her/Hers)
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Melissa Hickey is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), under the supervision of Ulla Woodard (RSW, MSW), who brings several years of clinical experience. Melissa is known for creating a calm, supportive environment and building strong therapeutic relationships with her clients.
She specializes in working with individuals experiencing borderline personality disorder (BPD), relational issues, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Melissa also has experience supporting clients through anxiety, depression, burnout, work-related stress, and cultural issues. In addition to individual therapy, she provides couples therapy using the Gottman Method.
Melissa approaches her work from a strength-based and person-centered perspective, tailoring each session to meet her clients’ unique needs. She draws from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Attachment-Based Therapy.
At the heart of Melissa’s practice is the belief that therapy is not just about symptom relief, but about increasing awareness of the unconscious patterns that shape how we relate to ourselves and others. Inspired by the words of Carl G. Jung, “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”
Melissa currently has a waitlist for future clients.
